DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) fertilizer has a composition of 18% N, 46% P2O5 and is a two-nutrient compound fertilizer. In addition to being used as a source of phosphorus fertilizer, the nitrogen in its content is in the form of ammonium (NH4 +), so it is easily retained in the soil and there is no nitrogen loss by washing from the soil due to excessive rainfall or irrigation. It plays an important role in root development and energy metabolism especially in the first development period of plants. It is efficient in terms of solubility and vegetative nutrition and is used as the most preferred underground (base) fertilizer by farmers. DAP fertilizer, like all base fertilizers, can be used before sowing or with sowing. It should be applied and mixed into the soil. Since the phosphorus contained in DAP fertilizer is kept in the soil and cannot move to the depths of the soil, its application after germination does not show its effect.
In the production of DAP , the main reaction is the neutralization of ammonia with phosphoric acid and to a lesser extent with sulfuric acid. This process takes place in two reaction stages in a very short time.
MAP | H3PO4 + NH3↔NH4H2PO4 + Q1 (ISI) |
MAP / DAP | NH4H2PO4 + NH3↔ (NH4) 2PO4 + Q2 (ISI) |
In the second stage, a part of MAP (MonoAmonium Phosphate) turns into DAP . Two different reactor systems have been designed with the experience of INCRO, whose production technology is well known in the world, and flexibility has been provided for the production of NPK compound fertilizers with various plant nutrient ratios. The fertilizer production facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and has modern control technology to meet the required chemical and physical properties. Serious investments have been made in our facilities on waste recovery and flue gas emissions, and an environment-friendly and respectful management approach is targeted by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization by integration with 24-hour online monitoring into operation. ETI GUBRE DAP is the only brand in Turkey which produces this fertilizer with national resources.
