PHOSPHORIC ACID

Phosphoric Acid Plant

In the phosphoric acid plant, Prayon Mark IV Dihydrate phosphoric acid production technology is used. The facility has a capacity of 210,000 tons of P2O5 / year. The phosphoric acid plant, which consists of Reaction-Filtration and Concentration sections, can produce Weak phosphoric acid with 28% P2O5 and concentrated phosphoric acid with 54% P2O5 with a capacity of 700 tons P2O5 / day. In our phosphoric acid facility, sulfuric acid produced in our sulfuric acid facility and phosphate mine extracted from phosphate deposits in Mardin Mazıdağ are used. It is the only 100% local and national production of phosphoric acid in Turkey. The concentrated phosphoric acid produced is used in the production of 18.46.0 DAP fertilizer in the fertilizer facility located in our integrated facility.

Phosphoric Acid
Phosphoric acid is produced by the reaction of fluorapatite known as 'phosphate rock' 3Ca3 (PO4) 2.CaF2 with sulfuric acid. Phosphoric acid is a chemical that appeals to different sectors and has many uses. It is the main raw material input of phosphate fertilizer production. It is mostly used in the production of phosphate fertilizers, the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture, metal cleaning, polishing and food for acidity regulation.

Phosphoric acid main reaction takes place as follows
Phosphoric acid, whose simple reaction equation is as follows, is formed as a result of the exothermic reaction of phosphate rock after treatment with sulfuric acid. Water-insoluble calcium sulfate is obtained as a by-product.

[Ca3 (PO4) 2] + 3 H2SO4 + x H2O ↔ 3 CaSO4.2 H2O + 2 H3PO4 + heat
